RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 Premiere Sneak Peek 👑
Rupaul’S Drag Race Season 15
This season of RuPaul’s Drag Race is one for the history books! Not only is it the first time in the show’s 15-season run that there have been two drag queens of color in the finale, but it’s also a battle between two very different styles of drag.
On one side, we have Symone, who is all about high fashion and avant-garde looks.
On the other side, we have Gottmik, who specializes in comedy and lip syncs. It’s truly a clash of two worlds, and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top! Symone has been a front runner throughout the entire season, and her runway looks have been consistently amazing.
She has a strong point of view and knows how to sell her looks to the judges. I think she has what it takes to win this whole thing. Gottmik meanwhile has had some ups and downs this season, but she always brings her A-game when it comes to lip syncing.
She knows how to work a crowd and make them laugh, which is something that is often lacking in drag performances. I think she could definitely upset Symone if she brings her best game to the finale. No matter who wins this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, we are guaranteed an amazing show!
I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
The fourteenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race began airing on February 28, 2020. The season was announced in August 2019, and casting began shortly thereafter. The season is set to conclude in May 2020.
This season features twelve queens competing for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar”, a $100,000 prize, and a spot in the “Drag Race Hall of Fame”. This season’s cast includes returning queen Aiden Zhane, as well as new queens Brita Filter, Crystal Methyd, Dahlia Sin, Gigi Goode, Jackie Cox, Jaida Essence Hall, JanSportt Bagley-Leech (who previously competed on Season 11 under the name “Nicky Doll”), Rock M. Sakura, Sherry Pie (whose real name is Joey Gugliemelli), Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and Widow Von’Du. The first episode of the season saw the queens being tasked with creating an illusion while suspended in midair; Brita won the challenge and was named this week’s “Queen of Queers”.
For the second challenge, the queens had to star in a commercial for RuPaul’s new book; Sherry Pie won this challenge and was named this week’s “Top Queen”. In the third challenge of the season – a drag ball themed aroundlements from classic novels – Jaida Essence Hall won her first challenge and was crowned this week’s “Miss Congeniality”. Episode four saw Silky Nutmeg Ganache winning her first challenge after impressing RuPaul with her performance in a lip sync battle against Widow Von’Du; she was also named this week’s “Lip Sync Assassin”.
The fifth episode featured a mini-challenge that saw Gigi Goode winning an immunity pass for herself; she went on to win that week’s maxi-challenge – which required the queens to create looks inspired by constellations – making her this week’s top queen. In episode six – which featured guest judge Thandie Newton – Jackie Cox won her first challenge after impressing RuPaul with her runway look; she went on to win that week’s maxi-challenge as well – which tasksedthe queens with creating avant-garde looks out of materials found at a hardware store.
